friends, what a whirlwind these past 8 months have been.
exciting news: towards the end of the summer, I will be releasing my first EP under the artist name TRAVELLER.

the nitty gritty:
the name TRAVELLER stems from a group of nomadic irish folk musicians that called themselves the Old Irish Travellers, or as translated in Irish Cant, “the walking people”. I randomly found this group on google (thank-you, social media) & thought the name TRAVELLER encompassed who I am in this stage of life. I wanted to keep music & photography separated & let’s face it, my full name, Mikaela Steinwedell, is near impossible to spell or pronounce (thanks, mom & dad).
thus was the birth of TRAVELLER. the songs on this EP reflect not only a travelling of my physical body, but also of my heart & mind. we are all travellers of some sort as we weave through life, & my hope is that these songs will relate to whatever path of life you are walking on.

last week commenced the first round of recording, which will be finished at the beginning of May. I cannot express how grateful I am to the number of friends & family who have supported me & helped to make this album infinitely more than I could have imagined.
